The goal of this blog is to publish my academic work for peer review. It's interesting to see my writing evolve as I learn more throughout my studies for a degree in psychology. In addition to academic essays, opinion pieces over interesting political news or current events may also be shared.

Some information on the blog name:
"Akademeia" is ancient greek for the english word academia, which derives from the Athenian hero, Akademos. The scrolls concept comes from the Dead Sea Scrolls: a collection of some 981 different texts discovered between 1946 and 1956 in eleven caves from the immediate vicinity of the ancient settlement at Khirbet Qumran in the West Bank.
